Derivators, Pointed Derivators, and Stable Derivators

چکیده
We develop some aspects of the theory of derivators, pointed derivators, and stable derivators. As a main result, we show that the values of a stable derivator can be canonically endowed with the structure of a triangulated category. Moreover, the functors belonging to the stable derivator can be turned into exact functors with respect to these triangulated structures. Along the way, we give a simplification of the axioms of a pointed derivator and a reformulation of the base change axiom in terms of Grothendieck (op)fibration. Furthermore, we have a new proof that a combinatorial model category has an underlying derivator.

Mayer-vietoris Sequences in Stable Derivators
We show that stable derivators, like stable model categories, admit Mayer-Vietoris sequences arising from cocartesian squares. Along the way we characterize homotopy exact squares, and give a detection result for colimiting diagrams in derivators. As an application, we show that a derivator is stable if and only if its suspension functor is an equivalence.
متن کاملThe Mother of All Isomorphism Conjectures via Dg Categories and Derivators
We describe a fundamental additive functor Efund on the orbit category of a group. We prove that any isomorphism conjecture valid for Efund also holds for all additive functors, like K-theory, (topological) Hochschild or cyclic homology, etc. Finally, we reduce this universal isomorphism conjecture to K-theoretic ones, at the price of introducing some coefficients.
متن کاملA Note on K-theory and Triangulated Derivators
In this paper we show an example of two differential graded algebras that have the same derivator K-theory but non-isomorphic Waldhausen K-theory. We also prove that Maltsiniotis’s comparison and localization conjectures for derivator K-theory cannot be simultaneously true.
متن کاملHomotopy Limits and Colimits in Nature A Motivation for Derivators
An introduction to the notions of homotopy limit and colimit is given. It is explained how they can be used to neatly describe the “old” distinguished triangles and shift functors of derived categories resp. cofiber and fiber sequences in algebraic topology. One of the goals is to motivate the language of derivators from the perspective of classical homological algebra. Another one is to give e...
متن کاملFibered Multiderivators and (co)homological descent
The theory of derivators enhances and simplifies the theory of triangulated categories. In this article a notion of fibered (multi-)derivator is developed, which similarly enhances fibrations of (monoidal) triangulated categories. We present a theory of cohomological as well as homological descent in this language. The main motivation is a descent theory for Grothendieck’s six operations.
